Dr. Castelletti graduated in Medicine cum laude at the University of Pavia, where she also passed the board examination cum laude and became a Specialist in Cardiology in 2014. Between 2012 and 2015 she moved to London for a fellowship in cardiomyopathies and cardiac MRI imaging at the former The Heart Hospital of the University College of London. She has then completed the MSc in Sports Cardiology at the St. Georges University of London, where she has been recently appointed Honorary Senior Lecture. Her interests include inherited cardiac disorders, sports cardiology, cardiac magnetic resonance, prevention of sudden cardiac death. She is an ESC Fellow and a Silver Member of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC), of which Sports Cardiology and Exercise section she is also chair-elected and currently nucleus member.
She is a nucleus member of the ESC Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases WGs and of the Italian Cardiac Society (SIC) working group of Inherited Cardiac Disorder. As such, she is promoting a national registry on pregnancy in women with inherited cardiac disorders and leading a position paper “management of pregnancy in women with Cardiomyopathy” by the SIC WG on Myocardial and Pericardial Disorders.
Also, she is ESC Communication Committee member; Deputy Editor and Social Media Editor of the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology; Associate Editor of the EHJ-Case Reports and of OpenHeart; nucleus member of the Italian Society of Sports Cardiology. She has chaired both the European and the Italian first consensus documents on the indication of the genetic testing in athletes, published in 2022. She likes trekking and plains the piano. She enjoys visiting exhibition and going to the theatre.
