Mary M. Canobbio, RN, MN, MPH, FAAN, FAHA
Mary Canobbio received Bachelor’s in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles and holds a Master’s in Nursing and Master’s in Public Health from University of California, Los Angeles.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the American Heart Association.
Mary has been associated with the Ahmanson/UCLA Adult Congenital Heart Program (ACHD), the first adult CHD program in the United States, since its beginning and created the role of advanced practice nursing for this new subspecialty.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), she has coordinated the development of the high risk pregnancy program. Mary has been on the faculty of the UCLA School of Nursing teaching in the advanced practice graduate Acute Care nursing program.
Her research program has focused reproductive outcomes in females born with congenital heart disease focusing specifically on pregnancy outcomes in complex CHD.
She was Co-chair for the 2017 American Heart Association Scientific Statement on Management of Pregnancy in Complex Congenital Heart Disease.
