Professor Michal Simchen studied medicine at Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. She later on undertook residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sheba Medical Center. After completing her residency she went on to specialize in high risk obstetrics with a 2-year Materal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto, Toronto, On. Canada. Upon her return to Sheba Medical Center she undertook the high risk pregnancy clinics, and is currently head of the Obstetric Post-partum ward.
Prof Simchen actively teaches medical students, nurses and residents and is part of the clinical teaching staff at Sackler school of medicine at Tel aviv University. Her main research interests lie in medical complications of pregnancy, thrombophilia and autoimmune disorders and especially pregnancy in women with cardiac complications.
