Dr Schmidt studied biochemistry at the University of Michigan, and is a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency and cardiology fellowship at Indiana University before moving to Kansas City to join the staff at the Mid America Heart Institute. Clinical interests include CardioObstetrics and venous disease. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, gardening, travelling and cooking.
