BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Katie Salciccioli is an adult congenital and pediatric cardiologist at Baylor College of Medicine where she is an assistant professor of internal medicine and pediatrics and associate program director of the adult congenital heart disease fellowship.  Her clinical interests include cardioobstetrics, genetic aortopathies, the role of exercise in long term congenital heart disease outcomes, and transition from pediatric to adult congenital cardiology.  She has helped coordinate care between the cardiovascular genetics and maternal fetal medicine teams, increasing diagnostic accuracy and appropriate counseling for patients before, during, and after pregnancy.  From a research perspective, she is passionate about finding ways to improve access to care and improve both clinical and patient-centered outcomes for adults with congenital heart disease. She loves helping patients understand their hearts and engage in their care in order to confidently pursue their personal goals.
