Dr. Kalgi Modi is a tenured professor in the department of medicine at Louisiana State University Health at Shreveport. She is a program director of the cardiology fellowship. She is a director of the Cardio obstetrics program and the echocardiography laboratory.  

Her research interest involves the outcome of peripartum cardiomyopathy in the African American population.
