Professor Irving Steinberg, Pharm.D., is the Dean of Faculty and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Pediatrics at the USC Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and at the Keck School of Medicine of USC where he has been a faculty member since 1985. He established and directs the Division of Pediatric Pharmacotherapy in the Department of Pediatrics at the Los Angeles General Medical Center. He is a clinical consultant in pediatric and perinatal pharmacology. Professor Steinberg authored the seminal chapter “Pharmacokinetics of Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation” in the 4th edition of Cardiac Problems in Pregnancy as well as chapters in previous editions of this foundational text, and has numerous published contributions in the areas of pediatrics, pharmacokinetics and maternal-fetal pharmacology. Professor Steinberg has given many invited lectures and seminars to physician and pharma groups across the globe over his decades in clinical education and practice, including his prior contributions at this Congress.
