Dr. Garima Sharma is a national leader in Women’s Health and Preventive Cardiology, serving as the Director of Women’s Cardiovascular Health Program and Cardio-Obstetrics at Inova Health System. With extensive experience, including faculty roles at Johns Hopkins University and founding the Cardio-Obstetrics Program there, she has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and led numerous conferences on women’s cardiovascular health. Dr. Sharma has held prominent positions, including Governor of the Maryland Chapter of the ACC, and contributed to several ACC/AHA guidelines. Her research focuses on cardiovascular disease in women, particularly during pregnancy, and she is a recognized advocate for diversity and gender equity in medicine.
