Prof. Radha Sarma


Radha Sarma, MD, FACC, FACP, FAHA, FASE is currently Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine and was Professor of Internal Medicine, Founding Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Disease and Director of Heart and Vascular Center in the Western Diabetes Institute. Prior to this, she was Chief of Cardiology at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center. She was also the Medical Director of Cardiology, Critical Care at Northridge Medical Center for a couple of years before returning to Keck School of Medicine where she was Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and was Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Associate Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at LAC+USC Medical Center. Dr. Sarma has over 40 years of experience in clinical cardiology, cardiovascular research and medical education at the Keck School of Medicine and has published several papers in peer reviewed journals. She is a global authority on heart disease and has lectured at international conferences in Spain, China, Germany, Mexico, Italy and India. She is an expert in echocardiography including 3D TEE and a pioneer in cardiac rehabilitation and preventive cardiology. Her special expertise and interest are in valvular heart disease and artificial heart valves. She is listed in the Marqui’s Who’s Who publication.
