Dan Halpern is the Klinsky Family Associate Professor of Cardiology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program. Dr. Halpern is well involved in the cardio-obstetric field on a national level participating in the ACC cardio-obstetrics leadership and reproductive health committees. His relevant cardio-obstetric research and publications revolve around use of cardiovascular medications during pregnancy as well as the treatment of the adult congenital heart pregnant patient. He has been the primary author of the chapter of pregnancy and heart disease in the past two editions of Fuster and Hurst’s Heart Disease and has been among the organizers of both a local and a national cardio-obstetric educational courses.
