Dr Candice Silversides is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is Head of the Division of Cardiology, the Miles Nadal Chair in Pregnancy and Heart Disease, and Director of the CardioObstetrics Program at Mount Sinai Hospital and University Health Network. She specializes in CardioObstetrics, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and Echocardiography. Dr. Silversides is the inaugural Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Advances. She has published extensively in the field of CardioObstetrics, contributed to numerous leading cardiology textbooks, and chaired or participated in the development of national and international practice guidelines. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with the Kent Ueland Distinguished Career Award and the Canadian Society of Cardiology Achievement Award.
